Uscire dalla zona di comfort e incontrare il futuro (inaspettato)

Il secondo giorno di evento è sempre quello in cui inizi davvero ad assorbire.
Ti concedi un momento per respirare, osservare, ascoltare te stesso oltre le parole degli altri.
Durante un panel, alla Fiera di Parma, ho fatto proprio questo: ho fermato il tempo per qualche secondo e mi sono chiesta… “Cosa ci faccio qui?”

La Fiera non è la mia “comfort zone”.
Dopo anni nel mondo corporate, eventi, networking strutturati, speech patinati… ero abituata a un certo tipo di realtà.
Per anni le feste Reply sono state il massimo del networking: grandi produzioni, grandi nomi. Ma negli ultimi tempi avevano smesso di parlarmi davvero.

Poi, qualche settimana fa, ho visto una sponsorizzata su Instagram. Era Luca Casadei a promuovere un evento organizzato da Learnn.
Chi conosce Luca sa quanto i suoi podcast riescano a scavare sotto la superficie. Mi ispirano. Mostrano le persone per quello che sono, non per il personaggio che vogliono interpretare.

Scopro Learnn, piattaforma italiana di formazione online. Contenuti, energia, approccio giovane.
Mi dico: “Proviamo. Devo capire dove voglio andare nel digitale e forse questo è il primo passo giusto”.

Così salgo su un Flixbus.
Mi porto dietro un pregiudizio grande come una casa: “Sarà pieno di uomini tristi, quarantenni, disillusi”.
E invece no.
Trovo giovani. Tanti. Sorridenti. Curiosi. Fieri di esserci.

Gli interventi si susseguono, alternando tecnica ed emozione. Ma c’è un filo rosso che tiene tutto insieme:
La voglia di mostrarsi per ciò che si è. Vulnerabilità comprese.
La voglia di fare, di costruire, di cambiare.

Mi colpisce. Mi emoziona.
Mi ricorda perché è così importante restare aperti.
Perché quando esci davvero dalla tua zona di comfort… non solo incontri gli altri, ma soprattutto ritrovi parti di te che avevi dimenticato.

E oggi sono felice.
Felice di aver seguito quell’intuizione.
Felice di aver scoperto che il futuro – anche il mio – è molto più vivo di quanto pensassi.

Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone and Meeting the (Unexpected) Future

Day two of an event is always the moment when things start to sink in.
You take a breath, step back, and listen—not just to others, but to yourself.
During a panel at the Parma Fair, I did just that: paused time for a few seconds and asked myself… “What am I doing here?”

This place isn’t my comfort zone.
After years in the corporate world—structured events, polished speeches, predictable networking—I was used to a very specific reality.
For years, the Reply parties were the pinnacle of networking. Big production, big names. But lately, they had stopped resonating with me.

Then a few weeks ago, I saw an Instagram ad. Luca Casadei promoting a Learnn event.
If you know Luca, you know his podcasts go deep. They inspire me. They show people as they are—not as they pretend to be.

I discovered Learnn, an Italian platform for online learning. Content, energy, youth.
I thought: “Let’s try this. I need to understand where I fit in this digital world—and this feels like a good first step.”

So I boarded a Flixbus.
And I carried with me a huge prejudice: “It’s going to be full of sad, middle-aged men.”
Wrong.

What I found were young people. Lots of them. Smiling. Curious. Proud to be there.

Talks alternated between tech and emotion, all bound by one common thread:
The courage to show up as you are. Vulnerabilities included.
The desire to act, build, and change.

It hit me. Moved me.
Reminded me of the power of staying open.
Because when you truly leave your comfort zone, you don’t just meet others—you rediscover parts of yourself.

And today, I’m happy.
Happy I followed that gut feeling.
Happy to have discovered that the future—even mine—is much more alive than I thought.
